Hi folks. I'm Wayne and I live in Murfreesboro TN near Nashville. Got my VTX last fall and love it. I'm an electrical engineer and I do fire and explosion investigations. I rode a Yamaha RD350 in the 70's and 80's and have not ridden since. I missed it, so I thought I would get back on the road before I got too old. (Just turned 62). I don't enjuy seeing how fast my mc will go, I just enjoy riding through the country side and appreciatiing the beautiful views here in TN. I plan to ride the Natchez Trace Parkway this spring with a couple of buddies. Would appreciate comments from anyone who has been on the Parkway before.

I'm in the same boat/Bike. Been 10 years and could take this no more, Got my VTX 1300 in December and put 600 miles on it already. I Love it. My last bike was a Goldwing but no longer on the road for long trips. As with you I just need to take a ride on the off roads to get that feeling back.
