My name is Scott Larson. I live in a small town in southwestern Michigan called Coloma. Last June I purchased a '06 1800R and I love it. I have owned other bikes in the past including a HD Sportster and a 84 Magna and a 81 Goldwing. I'm 45, married with 3 kids. My pasttimes include riding and sports. From June to November Iput 7500 miles on my "X".Thanx for letting me be a part of your group. I work for Whirlpool as a Maintenance Mechanic and like to do my own wrenching, so I am very interested in different mods that I can do to my bike.

this is a great place to learn and understand issues about your bike, some of which you never knew existed.......you will learn about mods and feel free to ask any questions you have...we all read the forum often and contribute as much as we are comfortable......once you get used to being here, you will see what I mean......enjoy the bike and ride safe!!!!

++2 on what Jesse said! And welcome from me too!
Hay Pack. Welcome to the cafe. I get up your way every now and then. If I make it up there this summer I'll drop you a warning. Drink a beer and talk bikes.

I can't really ad anything other than a hale and hearty WELCOME! As stated previously, this is the best site around for learning, conversing, and making friends around the world who own and ride the VTX, among other motorcycles (there are a few here with other rides, and multiple bikes is not uncommon).
Sit back and enjoy it. The people are friendly, hepful, courtious, kind, brave, clean, and reverent...Oh, wait, that's the Boy Scouts!
