Hello everyone. My first name is Kerry, Smoke has always been a nick-name. I live in central PA, not far from Penn State's main campus. Happily Married with 2 kids. Let me start buy saying I think this is a great site. I joined several days ago mainly at the time to do some reading up on the VTX from owners. Spent hours reading posts and looking at pictures. WELL VERY HAPPY to report I put a down payment on a new, blue '07 1300c. Told the dealer my Jet-ski is sold but buyer won't pick it up until his income tax gets here. Thus I must wait till late March or early April to pick up the bike unless my income tax gets here first. LOL. This will be my first street bike of any kind. Liked reading others that have jumped into the VTX as their first bike too. This just seems like a friendly site that has lots of great info. Can't wait to talk to more of you VTX owners. BUT really can't wait till nice weather gets to PA so I can enjoy riding the bike instead of talking to you all about it.

Welcome Kerry. Nice choice on the bike (fastest color too!! oh yeah) although we are all a bit prejudice around here. While you wait for your bike you can dream about all the chrome you can add to it. We are all chrome addicts around here, nevertheless no one wants to get better. :D Go figure.

I had a funny feeling about that. Assimilation is so much easier with pictures these days. LOL:choppersm

Welcome to the friendliest forum on the Web.
Being as you're from the area, down in the Almost Free State we have a riding group, the Xiles. We do accept people who cross borders to ride with us.

welcome to the site. At the expense of being called an editorial geek.... check the spelling in your profile, where you listed your bike's mileage. :)

Welcome smoke! I usually open a welcome with read all the posts you can..but since yer ahead of me, I'll try one other helpful suggestion, look up a local Motorcycle safety course in your area if you haven't taken one, lots of really great info on bigger rides and helps get good riding habits started!
Again welcome , ask any X questions ya can think of...tons of folks with tried and true experience here.

Welcome Smoke! Enjoy the site and all the great information here. One thing, though - watch out for those folks saying that anything but Silver is the fastest. That's the only bad info you'll find here - but we're trying to get that straightened out! hehe
