Hi everyone, great site. I have an 06' 1300R and love it. I've done a few mods, this weekend I will be add a grill to air cover, extending the headlight 2 1/2", and painting headlight bucket to match OEM. My seat was sent out to be reworked and should have it back next week.

Great bike and model. Hope you got the fastest color. I love mine as well. Have put several mods on as you can see by the list below. You'll love what the new seat does for it. I got the risers as well. The combo was just what I needed. Enjoy your ride.

I think the seat mod will require me to get the riser for a more comfortable rider. Did you find that to be the case?

It will help but is not necessary. If you want to be extra comfortable on the bike it is a good use of mod money. I added the throttle boss as well to help. Been very happy with how much more comfortable I am with them.

What seat mod are you having done? I had the Bad-X, but even before that, was having 'stretch' probs, went with the aeromach risers, and it made a very nice difference. Oh, and it looks good to:

Then you will definitely want the risers. 4" ones should do you fine and you won't have to change the cables. :choppersm

Sorry Pastor dave, didn't mean to overlook you. New to the whole forum thing! I like the idea of the throttle boss

No need to apologize at all. One of the great things about this forum is how many people weigh in with when you want advice. :choppersm

Welcome Warlock, good choice on make and model! I also added the risers to my R for comfort, I went with the lighting 4" risers because you don't have to extend the throttle or clutch cables. I have the pics of my install in my gallery.
