Die-Hard Honda lover, up around Seattle where we usually get two or three decent riding days a year :p

My latest update was from a Shadow ACE Tourer 1100 to a 2005 VTX 1800R... It was quite an upgrade and is a wonderful bike!

It's nice to see such a vibrant and creative community revolving around this bike, it's giving me so many ideas that I don't know where to start :)

Welcome to the site. It is general consensus that the first mod you do is the seat. www.meancitycycles.com After that it is fun to make the bike uniquely yours. Have fun doing it and enjoy being assimilated into the chrome addict cafe. :D

Welcome from the warm Gulf Coast area. This site is the best. I just wish there were more members from the deep south active here. Welcome aboard MBP. What does this ManBearPig thing mean?

Welcome! You're in the right place for associating with people who love their Hondas...and the VTX is one sweet ride. And if you're looking for ideas, small wonder you're dazzled. There are more ideas here than grains of sand in a sandbox...

Welcome aboard MBP. What does this ManBearPig thing mean?

Ha ha it's from a show called "Southpark" and is a euphamism for global warming, sort of comparing it to "Bigfoot" wheras Al Gore is depicted as desperately hunting ManBearPig...

It also makes for a great forum name :)

Thank you for the welcome, and for the seat mod advice... That does sound like a *great* place to start!

Welcome MBP, that is a good nick.
+1 on doing the seat first - if I had to do it all over again I'd do the seat first - though all the other stuff I did has been very useful, and shiny....

Yeah I'm grateful to Pastordave for that hint, I think I may just take the advice...

I'm considering "The Supreme"...Is it worth it?
