Hi ya'll first time posting here. I live in nw ar. and ride a Valkyrie. I like the VTX though and want to learn more about them.

Welcome to the Cafe!!!!....I was looking for a Valkyrie when I bought my "X"..I had a '76 Goldwing about 12 years ago, and like how the Valkyrie has the engine exposed verus all the plastic bodywork on a new 'Wing.....I'm very happy with the VTX though..I bought mine just last September, and don't see myself ever selling it...:cheers:

I considered a Valkerie. But once I had a chance to see and touch and hear a VTX...well, it was what stole my heart...But the Valkeries (especially the Standards) are simply beautiful, smooth, wonderful machines.

Well, for what it's worth I talked one guy at work into getting a new 1300. And I have convinced one of my sons to get a 1300, if he gets a bike.
My Valkyrie is a great machine but I have to say if I were to get another bike it would be a 1300 vtx.
If any of ya'll ever get to this part of the country I'd sure like to show off some of the best biking roads ya'll would ever get to ride on.
