R Handlebars on a C?

Dear friends,
I have seen a couple of people post about wanting to put 1300R handlebars on their 1300C bikes. I was wondering if anyone who has done it has a pic they could share? Does it help with the positioning of the bars? Is it as good as risers? I was thinking of getting some buck-horn style bars too, but not sure if that would screw up the look of the C....

Hi, I can't help much with what will fit and what wouldn't.

I can tell you that I have a 2006 VTX 1300C, and I have the " R " handle bars on mine.

I bought the bike off a small women, and she had the Retro handle bars put on the bike, because they come back to the rider more, rather then the C model handle bars, your riding streched out

I can tell you, that I love the R handle bars on mine. I ride very comfortable with them, and since I sold the C model handel bars that she gave me when I bought the bike.

I'm not sure what was changed out, because she had brought it to the dealership to have everything changed over.

Also They changed the cables over to. From what I read, the cables are a few inches short when switching from the C to R handle bars
