New VTX owner here. I have had it about a week and have put about 150 miles on it (not bad for March in Kansas City). I sold a 750 spirit to get the VTX. It is a 2006 (dealer left over with a deep discount) 1300C, dark gray metalic. Had 0 miles when I picked it up last Saturday. I am looking forward to "stimulating the economy" sometime in may with a new exhaust system.

I have been reading the posts here for a few weeks...great information and experience. Thanks!

Welcome, that 2006 1300C is a great bike! I love mine.

The bike has two big maintenance issues:
1) The gas tank keeps going empty on me. I keep filling it up and after a while it just goes empty again. Not sure what that's about.
2) The oil keeps going bad. I've had to change it out several times since I bought the bike.

Other than that though it runs like a top.

The VTX is an addiction for which there is no 12 step program...and no one would show up if there was!

We are two of a kind. Traded 2006 aero feb. 28-08 for 1800N new 2005. So I have had it about three weeks little over 1200 miles. Got to love riding, to put up with the western OK winds blowing 20-40 at 40*. Great bike.

Awsome i did to got mine from dell's powersports in blue springs 2006 vtx 1800c spec 3 . Got it last week and allready have 565 miles on it. We need to get together some time and ride.
