Hi all, just got my new 07 VTX1300R. Only been able to put 15 miles on it so far but man it was a great 15 miles :D
My last bike was a magna 750 v-4 what a difference. Is anyone close to Bethalto Illinois. Would love to meet some fellow xers.

Welcome X-man. Obviously you already love the X without hardly putting any miles on her. Well it is only going to get better. Now go get your seat modded out and enjoy.

Welcome to the Cafe. Yours looks like mine did when I bought it. Now to start removing things...

Kermitdog you are about 5 hrs away from me. My brother lives in Rockford and he rides a 1100 shadow.
I dont know about removing things but I do have a mustang seat, backrest, memphis shield and bags ordered.

Welcome to the Cafe. It certainly sounds like you are well on the way to making the bike uniquely yours.

Welcome,
I'm relatively new to the cafe, but as my wife would say, "somewhat addicted". This site offers tons of ideas, advice, and good people. Hopefully you enjoy it as much as all of us!

Welcome X-Man, you're going to love that bike. Wish I had taken pics of mine when I first brought it home. Now, like mscales says, time to start adding and taking away. Expensive? You bet! Worth it? And then some!

Welcome to the forum and congrats. on your X. I made the same exact switch back in 2005. Miss my Magna sometimes, took a little while to get used to the X (tough going from a slightly modded 90+ hp V-4 to a V-twin) but it was a good switch. Had to change my riding style some since the X doesn't have as much ground clearance in the turns. Enjoy and safe riding.
