Can anyone give me the PROS and CONS on these hyperchargers that I have been seeing on other bikes?
Just trying figure out if it is worth the money. DO they give you better performance and less economy or are they even worth the $$$$$ for 1-2 HP??
Thanks,

Tex: Most buy the Hypercharger for the looks.. The hyper sticks out further than some other designs and therefore several have complained about it hitting/rubbing on their leg.. especially on the "C" model with the forward pegs.
Because of this "leg" situation, many change out the hyper for other models after having bought it.. others like the "style" so much they learn to live with some discomfort.
The hyper itself performs "fine".. from one design airbox to another we are only talking about a few HP difference if that.. basically choose the design that you like the looks of, but be warned that there are some designs that do inhibit comfort.

Mine came on the bike from the dealer as did the Bub exhaust. At first it was a pain getting use to my right leg hitting it, but when I put the Mustang seat on it lowered my sitting position to where the Hyper-charger isn't a problem anymore. I love mine!!! As far as performance? The only thing I have to compare to was when I was showing my bike to a fellow VTX rider who was looking to buy Bub pipes. He wanted to hear mine so we went for a spin. When he asked me to STAND on it so he could hear it thew the gears I did & he couldn't come near to catching me on his STOCK VTX. Like I said I'm quite pleased with mine.

The Hypercaharger will give you almost no performance gains at all. It lets the engine breathe better and is purely a looks thing on mine anyway. I will eventually purchase a PCIII and get it dyno'ed but I haven't got all my chrome bits yet.

+1. I personally do not own one, but, from what I've read, Scars response is dead on.

I have the Kuryakyn Pro Series R and I am very happy with it. I up graded to the V&H Cruzer pipes. I used the Dynojet re-jetting kit and I noticed a big difference on the low end gears (2 + 3). When I first got my bike back from the dealer who installed it I was quite surprised! My head was snapping back when I snapped the throttle. I thought they had gave me the wrong back!!!
True that in fifth gear there is not much difference but I am satisfgied.
