Installed Smartpartz SPZHK300 baffles in my HK 3" big straights.
The install was very easy. Removed the end caps, one bolt and the baffles come with the right allen wrench to get it done. Next the new baffles are inserted, I put a little WD-40 on them to make the install go in a bit easier. Had to tap them in gently until the tab on the baffle and the hole in the pipes aligns. Then it's just a matter to reinstalling the end caps. The baffles come with a longer bolt and an acorn nut to make sure that everything is secure. Start to finish, it took about 25 minutes. Had help from my 11 yr old son to make sure that it was done right.
The sound is not as loud and deeper, much of the blat blat is gone. Prior to installing the baffles I had some minor backfiring on deceleration, that is all gone now. I was pleased that when you jump on the throttle, it still makes quite a rumble.
All in all pretty pleased with the initial install. I'll post more as I get some fuel economy.
