Laporte County ABATE annual Spring Breakout bike rally is this Saturday, May 3, 2008...This is being held at the Laporte county fairgrounds, right on Indiana SR 2, on the west side of town....Gates open at 10:00, Central time, and it goes until Midnite on Saturday..Then on Sunday morning, there will be a breakfst being served...There is on site camping available for those that would like to stay the night....I don't think there is an additional fee to camp, but I might be wrong on this...There's live bands scheduled, vendors, bike games, and a beer tent....I'm not sure of the admission price, as I haven't attended this event in about 13 years or so....Once you pay admission though, you recieve a wristband, and are allowed to then come and go as you please....There's miles of scenic roads in northwest Indiana to explore if you get bored at the fairgrounds....I'll be there with my usual riding buddies, and we're more than happy to have any other "X"er's join our group (especially me, as I have the only Honda of the group)...Besides, I'd like to put a face with the screen names I see on here....Laporte is in northwest Indiana, close enough for folks in southern Michigan, and the Chicago area to enjoy a nice ride to this event...If you plan on attending, PM me, and I'll get you my cell#, so that we can meet and hang out....Ride safe!!!
