Grounding Question

Is there anything wrong with running a ground from addons (gps, speakers, w/e) to the neg battery terminal?

IMO theoretically, no.

the only problem comes in when you have so many grounds thet you cannt fit them all on the post..If you don't want to go to the frame because of the paint then purchase a bus bar and mount it under the seat. Then take one heavy wire from the batt to the bus (#12) and bring your accessory grounds to the bus

Well I used a distribution block to hook up all my accesories to, so I only have one ground and one positive coming off that to the battery, so I won't have any issues there.
