I really didn't want to because I know how mich she liked her Honda VLX 600, but after having a baby, she's lost interest in riding. It was an '03 with 235 miles on it.....that's right 235 miles. We hung on to it just in case she changed her mind. I guess her mind was made up and a friend of a friend got a great deal. At least now....the bike will get to see the road....and to be honest, she wasn't the best driver and I was kind of worried.(I can also use the space for my toys). She even has reservations about riding with me....strange thing is, she was more into riding than I was when we first met and it's the reason I upgraded to the 1300. I had an 83 Yamaha 750 Virago before, but it kind of struggled going uphill two up,. Since she gave birth...her priorities have changed...and that's cool. We're kind of sad to see it go, but it didn't left yet...we're waiting for the check to clear.:)

Coley, be happy you had a wife who liked to ride with you for a while. My wife just beats me on the shoulder everytime we ride. Going too fast. Braking too hard. Think I'll get a solo seat!

I wish you would have posted that for sale...lol. My wife rides with me all the time but she wants her own ride, she has never ride by herself so I'm looking for a small bike for her to ride and learn on. she wants a VTX 1300 in the end. If it does not go thru let me know.

I didn't really put it for sale anywhere. I just said, in normal conversation, that we were thinking about selling. Then a couple of weeks later I got a phone call from my friends son. He told me he knew a girl who was looking for a bike....
It was probably the easiest sale I've ever made.
And I am glad I have a wife who understands motorcycles....it's one of the reasons I married her!

here's a couple of the last pics of my wifes VLX. Not a bad deal for $2500 and some extras with 235 miles on it. I hope the buyer enjoys the ride.

Man that thing looks brand new! Something that size would be a perfect starter bike for my wife.

My wife has a VLX600 as well. She's doing pretty well on it.
Our kids are all over 21 now.
Your wife will be ready to ride again......in about 18 years.
'Til then, enjoy the solo ride!

The 600 is a very nice bike, rode good and had good power. I'd buy another one when the time is right.
Something about having a baby changes a women's desires, probably nature's way of preserving the species.
My sister went through the same thing - she was a hard core Harley girl for many years, has a 95 Sportster that she has customized over the years and has put on alot of miles riding. Once the baby came, she is reluctant to ride at all. She can't bear to sell the thing - so there it sits!
Should'nt complain though - last summer I started riding it (after 15 years not riding) and that fall bought my VTX! She would have given me the bike, just not my style!
Strange how things work out!
