Paint job is done!!

My paint job is finished, Bryan at BD's Cycles called today and took some nice photos.

When I first started talking to Bryan I thought I knew what I wanted...after visiting and looking at the quality of the paintwork he did I could not make up my mind...lol. I wanted just pearl white, but Bryan suggested i add something else but I was not sure what. I liked the checker board patterns on bikes but couldn't figure how it would work.

I got to thinking about what pearl black would look like since I had never seen it...funny thing was he had just sprayed pearl on black and I got to see it, I LIKED IT!

So, I left it with Bryan that he use those combos (pearl white, pearl black, and checkboard). Bryan and Matt also removed the tank seam, the tag bracket, rear turn signal holes, and all the "ribs" on the sides of the fenders!

Well here is the final result, I hope to have them installed on the bike within 2 weeks:

That checkerboard pattern is pretty unique! It's there, but appears to be very subtle. I'll be looking forward to seeing the finished product all put back together!!

I finished hiding the wires last night and put the tank on, looks GOOD!!

Got the final drive, shock, tank and headlight on today, looks pretty good!

Getting the quality of a paintjob on camera is HARD to do, but I played around with the camera tonight and got a few shots. The checkerboard patten shows mostly green, orange, gold, and pink. Here are a few shots that shows what Brian at BD's did:

The tires finally hit the ground tonight! Got the rear fender on and as usual I have one bastard bolt on the fender I cannot get to thread...I gave up on it tonight.

Waaayyy Sweeeet! Man, I love those bars! Hope you don't get a cervical disc problem or thoracic outlet syndrome reaching out on those! (j/k :) )! Looking forward to seeing it in a couple of weeks. I've got to get busy this winter to keep up with you.
