I like the part about the license plate, it has to be mounted horizontaly to the ground so anybody with aftermarket mounts that are vetical you might want to look into this. I made my own so no money spent but still why this? I can understand the speeding or the trick riders you see on the highway but not this:icon_pelv

Several states have the "horizontal license" law. I'm in Kansas and they only require that the tag be visible from the rear, and not to be mounted less than 12" from the ground. This Florida law, along with other laws really have me wondering how they could enforce them against a driver/vehicle registered in another state.

If Forida, or any other state, accepts my driver's license and registration, why would I be held to any other "vehicle" requirement that the state has? If I drive to California, I'm not required to add all the pollution control stuff. If I drive to a state that requires a front license plate, I'm not going to get stopped because my state doesn't require them (or even have them).

I'm still waiting to hear how the Denver CO law requiring OEM/stock exhaust is effecting out of town vehicles...just don't see how they can exempt out of state vehicles from some laws and not others; again, I'm talking about vehicle equipment and not the "reckless driving".

If you go into a state that has a helmet law, you better be wearing one. About the other laws?..don't know.

racer-x: I'm just glad they dropped the confiscation of vehicle b.s. in regards to unsafe handling. Maybe a little biased but I don't see heroin smugglers and kids popping wheelies as equals, ya know?

If you travel through another state you must abide by all of their laws in accordance to helmets, lights plate visibility and mounting, noise ordinances etc...

If you are visiting California from another state the EPA regulations don't apply (unless you are belching smoke or parts are falling off lol)

I've been known to belch smoke, but haven't had any parts fall off yet......
