Cobra Dragster pipes?????

Hello, All

I have just put a set of cobra dragsters on my VTX 1300C and I have been having a problem with the front pipe shield coming in contact with the rear brake foward control shaft. Would anyone have a suggestion on how to eliminate this problem????? I have tryed to slide the shield back but it wont move enough.

Slide in a couple of washers to take the rear brake out a bit. Oh, and welcome to the forum, lots of good folks here with valuable info.

John, after looking at mine this morning, what I suggested might not do the trick. You might be able to loosen up the bolts that hold the pegs/brake shaft and try to move it a little forward. Or you just don't have the shield on just right and may have to move it around a bit.

Well I tryed to move the shield and it didnt budge. I then uscrewed the peg assemble and it acually moved foward about 1/4 inch, so it gave me, I do believe enough room. But I wont know until I ride today into Springfield. The wife wants to go riding....:icon_danc and cruz around. I'll post and let you know if it works.

I had the same problem and I move the peg forward and it worked for me. Love the Dragsters!
