I'm selling it because I'm in the Air Force & just got orders to Korea.

The bike is on eBay. I lowered the price to a starting price of only $12,000 with NO reserve.

Thanks, Bert

Grant, I know that's cheap, but hopefully it'll sell for more. $12K is the lowest that I can take without completely losing my a$$ on it. I even listed a price list of parts in the auction.

Talk to ya, Bert

Well if your staying there long, just take it with. You guys get free freight up to 5000 lbs don't ya? They took my son's R1 over to Germany, and his custom truck.

I had to sell it or store it for over a year. I'm on a remote tour and we're only allowed to ship 500-lbs.

How did the sale go?

On the other hand, you should be able to find tons of stuff to ride when you get there. Be interesting if they have VTX's over there.

When I spent all last part of summer and winter in Sweden to Germany, they only had the R model available at the dealers. Seems most of Europe is more into 2 stroke scooters. I could not find one 4 stroke any where. From Germany to Sweden.
Forget about Amsterdam, they think 2 strokes rule. Then the crazy rules.
If I recall, under 250 cc's can be ridden on the walkways. For the young to get a license is really expensive. Over 5g's.

The nice thing about the scooter series is on certain class size, you don't need a license.. Makes it great to take routes a car don't have access to.

But make sure if any of you go there and plan to drive, well, drive as much as I did, make sure you get your international drivers license here before you go over. I tried to get one while in Germany, they basically laughed.

Sure enough, on my last day in downtown Amsterdam, the lane I'm in gets spot checked and diverted onto a side street.

Oh my, first thing said by Dutch POlice, Your not supposed to be driving a Dutch car period, now get out. Then asking where the papers were didn't go well either. Silly Dutch, but they are Fun.

At the last minute, I just happen to have the owners new cell number on a piece of paper in my briefcase. I dial up and then hand the phone to them.
This meeting went on for 20 minutes, and when I still have no idea what was said in Dutch, They agreed that I could continue.

Not cool, late at night to have to walk anywhere but to the nearest bar.
Now lug around 4G's of camera. Make the bag look like junk and dirty laundry. Who's going to steal dirty laundry?
