Hello :icon_wave we're back we got home wed-nite. We had a wonderful trip.Traveled some really good roads, alot of twisties and hills, went through 2 tunnels (man the X sounded good in them). stayed all 3 days @ home coming, enjoyed ALL the festivities especially VTX ride in. man that was a site ME & 593 X's all in a row! Was in two lighted parades, which was also cool. The kids took turns riding with me. We left marysville sunday morn. headed north to sandusky, ohio. Traveled some more good roads with more twisties and hills. Stayed there and visited cedar point amusement park for 2 days. rode my share of some very cool roller coasters with my kids but, still doesn't compare to riding twisties on the X!!! Ok now on the way home tues.we headed down 250 & picked up 83 in wooster, ohio. took 83 through amish country stopped in berlin, so pam could do a little shopping. All of us enjoyed seeing the Amish with their horse & buggy's.
Now for the problems not to many & not to serious thankfully,on the way up had a blow out on the rear at 75 mph handled rough but turned out OK. Just so happen to be at an exit, pulled into gas station called HRCA they had me a wrecker there in 30 minutes, carried the bike to honda shop in S.C. Just the bad luck they closed at 6 pm we got there at 6:15 pm.Had to get room & spend the nite. Spoke to HRCA again they said that being I was more than 150 miles from home that they would pay for, towing, room & eats! man thats alright for 35 dollars a year. Then on the way home about 9 pm riding through some hills my head light blows, what do you know all the parts stores close at 9 pm seen a K-mart didn't think they would have the bulb but turns out they did for under 8 dollars. Other than those two problems had a wonderful trip. Put just over 2100 miles in 8 days.
That is really fantastic. It sounds like an incredibly good time and I'm glad you all got to do it. It's probably the first recount that's actually made me wish real bad that I had gone. I'm happy for you and the family.
