A co-worker of mine who has worked as a medic here in Charlotte for the past 15 years home caught fire on July 4th, he lost everything! Anyone in the Charlotte area able to help please post here. They are in need of the following:

The have 3 children:

9 year old male, size 10-12. Loves sports items.

8 & 9 year old females, both size girls 14-16. They love dolls and one is a special needs child, she likes toys that make noise and motor skill toys.

They have 2 dogs that lost everything also.

They are in need of furniture and all houshold things (TV, VCR/DVD, microwave...etc..)

If anyone here has anything to donate please post it here, I'll forward this list to them and see what is needed (not sure what has been donated).

Thanks,

Ray

I've got a dishwasher they are more than welcome to (it's a used GE; about 8 yrs. old but still works just fine) if they need that. I had some more stuff, but just "purged" the garage recently. Have a lot of dog toys that I'd be happy to donate as well; used as well, but in good condition. Don't have any kids clothing or toys in that age range on hand but I'll check around with some of my friends that have kids in that age range.

I've got a full-sized truck, so if they would want any of this stuff delivered I'm more than happy to do it if it will help out. Or, if you get some more stuff together and need help with me making a run to deliver happy to do that as well.
