Added these to my '05 Retro this last winter; very nice add on. I went with one of the new versions, the Flame ISO Grips. Really are a great, comfortable grip and nice upgrade from stock grips. Help reduce vibration for people that are sensitive to that. Very easy install, not very complicated at all. Good quality on the chroming, good instructions included with the kit. They offer different color trim rings and endcaps which allow you to customize them for a different look (matching paint colors, spike or stilletto endcaps, etc.).

I recently added the Kury ISO Throttle Boss as well, which is basically a paddle that allows you to hold the throttle in a position with just the palm/heel of your hand and relax your grip on longer rides.

Retro - I have a throttle lock installed with my stock grips on an 1800 F. I don't recall the brand name, but I'm pretty sure it was not a Vista. Do you know if the ISO Grips can be installed with a throttle lock in place?

That I'm not sure of unfortunately since I don't have a throttle lock (and don't intend to put one on--not a fan of cruise control or throttle locks on bikes myself). I'd recommend figuring out which brand you have, contact the supplier or the manufacturer and see if they can be used together. Sorry I couldn't be of more help on this one.

No problem! Thanks for the reply. I need a throttle lock due to some slightly progressive carpal tunnel. I don't know if the throttle boss would help out here, but I might go that route.

Searider. If your current throttle lock won't work with ISO's you can go with a Vista Universal lock for about $35.00. I installed mine right over the top of my ISO flame grips with no problem. You just have to trim/thin the rubber spacer to fit.

Thanks for the feedback folks. I checked my throttle lock and it is a Universal Vista Cruise. So it looks like I may be able to use it after all.

I've also looked into getting the BrakeAway throttle lock which has been updated to work with the ISO grips without any trimming. Has anyone out there used the BrakeAway system?

Did you install the breakaway with ISO GRIPS? I've read a lot of stuff on sites saying that the breakaway would not work the ISO. What say you?

Did you install the breakaway with ISO GRIPS? I've read a lot of stuff on sites saying that the breakaway would not work the ISO. What say you? when the cruise control arrived the seat came in at the same time so i had them install all of the stuff at the same time. the grips ,kury iso /6240 worked fine with it i have not had any problems with the cruise working because of the grips......best money i have spent to date along with the seat.
