Hey New Poster Here: My names gened, from Las Vegas, Nevada. I ride a 2003 1300VTX-R Candy Apple Red. Its pretty much stock with a windshield and leather saddle bags, I added passenger floorboards. I am looking for a better saddle and passenger seat for the long rides I like to take. Also, I would like to replace the leather saddle bags with hard (lockable) saddle bags. If anyone has any suggestions as to which hard bags are best and mounting problems I need to avoid... let me know. And, thanks for reading my first post.

I too like riding to Zion. From Las Vegas, there are lots of places close enough to ride on a weekend trip. I travel to Phoenix in the early spring just go get out of the cold. Love going to the Grand Canyon, but that is more of a 3 day weekend. My wife just got her own bike, its a 600 vlx, big enough for her, but we are just starting to go together on our own bikes. She got tired of sitting behind me.

Ill see if I can get a picture of the bike posted on my profile.
