Doesn't installing the 1300 drive give you more low end balls but a lower high end ? I already wish my bike had a 6th gear so what is the point of doing that ? :hmm2:

I'm pretty sure it's the other way around. The 1300 has taller gearing.

When you say taller do you mean higher numerically ? Higher numerically would do what I said lower numerically would do what you say. I really don't know which it is, thats why I asked the question.

Taller gearing means the engine would be at a lesser rpm for the same speed. You would lose some low end pick up but gain top end speed. I've had it expained to me in a way I could understand. I don't have those skills.

I don't really notice the low end loss of pick-up but I do notice the top end speed Vs RPM. The speed difference is right at 10% greater then stock speed Vs RPM. In other words, If I were going 100 MPH with stock gearing, my current speed with the 1300 set in would be 110 MPH and so forth and so on. So at 60 MPH I would have 2000 RPM.
