The best solution for the 240 tire, the Mongo fender has the clearance you need to slam your bike all the way! The kit includes an unpainted composite fender, a new set of show chrome plated fender struts, and all necessary hardware.
Xtreme Revolution has finally solved the fender problem for the 240 kit. We threw out the rulebook and created a new fender design that provides ample clearance and looks totally bad-ass.
The solution requires new fender struts that are not tapered inwards like the stock VTX struts. The replacements struts are CNC milled from solid billet aluminum, show chrome plated, and have the same appearance as the original struts. The only (nice) difference is that we lowered the forward portion of the struts to match up with the sidecovers -- hiding the ugly gap that has always been there.
The kit includes all necessary installation hardware and instructions. The Mongo fender is designed to work with the stock VTX-1800C seat and should work with most aftermarket seats, however it is designed for solo-riders. The fender is constructed of heavy-duty composite fiberglass but because of the tight clearances the inner-fender support bracket must be removed. Some of our clients have fabricated a new ‘low-profile’ inner bracket to fit inside the fender to allow for a passenger. Another alternative for two-up riders is our 14-guage steel XR-26 Xcalibur fender.
Two different designs are available for the new struts -- struts that look the same as the stock struts or curved struts.
