I have a members that is having issues with his PC and this site. He says wheen he comes here it makes his processor work hard and he has to leave. He said other site are not like it is here.

I checked here and the VTXOA and this site is using less CPU usage that there, totally different than what he is getting.

So, I need a few people to hit ctl-alt-del and then click on the performance tab. Then open vtxcafe and see what the CPU Usage peaks at. Then do the same for the vtxoa or any other forum and see. Also note the CPU Usage at idle.

Here I peaked at 75% most of the time, at idle 2%
At VTXOA it peaked at 98 & 95% almost every time, idle about the same as here.

Just trying to figure out if there is an issue or not.

Big-X,

My laptop at work never peaked over 30% changing between threads or logging on. Idle at 1-2%.

I would strongly suggest the member run a full virus/spyware scan of all hard drives, clean out the cache and cookies. Also, use Mozilla Firefox instead of Internet Explorer which has too many 'holes" for spyware to enter. Sounds like a trojan to me. I use Zone Alarm as my firewall, and Bit Defender (recommended by Consumer Reports Sept. 06 issue) for spyware/antivirus/spam.

Here I peak out at 100%. Close this site - and back to 2%
VTXoa's site at 15%
Running Mac 15" PowerBook, using Safari Browser
No trojans, spyware possible.

Very strange,
Processor is maxed out when only coming here.
Maybe it's a Mac thing.
I'll have my partner with his PC try the same test.

Hardly any difference at all. Extra one or two percent average CPU usage when visiting site compared to not even having browser running. (Firefox)

I peak at 100% but I have over 50 processes running and the network is optimized to keep a close watch on everyone. My average usage is around 4%.

Sounds to me like someone has spyware and/or trojans.

I'm back in the states now - from being in Europe for several months.
We are not hitting 100% any longer - more like 60 - 6 browsers showing.

In response to others about Trojans - Spyware.
It doesn't exist on MAC. I take him everywhere.
Not once second of my day ever has to deal with it.
Oh-but you can't see that I have PC's all around me.
Not one of them is turned on. They have their mission.

People say 3000 for a laptop is tooo much - B/S
I have saved so much money by not having to deal with all
that I had to purchase to keep the others from destruction.
Let alone therapy for myself - saved 37,ooo right there.

Granted - there is a learning curve to over come - and still learning.
