well, the pipes are on sale until TODAY!! are these loud and obnoxious or is it a quality sound? I am going to shop around, but this is the best deal I could find so far:

I got the big shots. If you want a good deep rumble at idle and nice bark when throttling up, go for it. They are a bit loud but not obnoxious at all. Loud is relative anyways. Stock pipes: 1, clayton mod: 3, deep clayton mod: 4, cobra slip ons: 6, big shots: 9, jug huggers: 12 .... some will tell you something else, I'm just listing these as I have friends who have them so I've heard them plenty of times.

I noticed in your profile that you list your bike as a 1300, but the pipes that you are looking at are for a 1800.
Regardless, the V&H Bigshots are pretty sweet.:)

I actually did the riley mod and completely gutted out the exhaust...LOUD. I ended up installing two sink strainers and a shower drain into the exhaust to quiet it down a little and give it some back pressure. I highly recommend it!! lots cheaper than buying new pipes.

I bought a pair from custom cruisizing for my 1300, on sale paid $484 which was the best price I found. The day I received mine (1 week later) they had them on sale again for $477. Still better than MSRP of $560.
