Wondering if I could get some suggestions on what they wear of what they have worn for half helmets? I know with most of the DOT helmets, you're going to get the "mushroom" effect, but any suggestions on which don't look so bad?
I ordered a Skid Lidz Origional and I don't like the way it fits/looks. Tried on a Bell Drifter Black Hide half helmet and it seemed a little better.
Can I get some suggestions? Please and thanks!

I don't worry about looks, but I like my HJC. It has flaps that zip in and out for cool weather riding. Mine is all black, but something like this,

Hate to say it but I have a Harley Davidson helmet. Of course I removed all the logos. It's black chrome and very shinny. Has the zip out ear flaps and you can use a variety of shields. It fits real good but I bought it at a store so I could try them on until I found one I liked.

+1 on the HJC....I bought mine a while back at a HD dealer to get the size right (I found that they ran a little big....I like the zip in neck shroud...It allows me to use my Scala Rider Q2 headset...I also like that I could put a face shield on it...

I got a ZR1 from J&P cycles black with ghost flames, it's definitely DOT approved, and I'm confident with it, my first one saved my noodle when I crashed last summer.http://www.vtxcafe.com/gallery/data/793/medium/DSCN1145.JPGPicture doesn't do justice, those scratch marks are actually pretty deep from the pavement
+1 on the drifter! I lost one of my ear pads and have been tring to find a ear pad. With no luck.

Here's the one I bought online. I like it because 1- it was a good price and 2- i like the leather look to it. Not bad on the weight either.

I have an Ed Hardy half helmet. The helmet itself is a KBC Nomad. This thing feels like you are wearing a baseball cap for a helmet. Definitely not too much "mushrooming". It is so comfortable...It's awesome! It gets compliments at every stop.

Wife and I have Vega XTS half helmets, comfortable and very affordable. We did not get them due to their low cost (that was just a bonus) they are the helmets that fit the best. They look good also with our orange bike.

+1 on that! Mine did what it was supposed to do a few months ago too. I replaced it with the same model.
As far as helmets go it about as close as you can get to not having one on yer noggin and still having some protection.

Now you guys are making it TOO tough! I thought I would get a couple suggestions, but now I have a dozen to choose from!
Took a look at the scorpion video review and it looks to have some pretty cool features. I may check out that one and the HJC. I'll let ya know which I like better. Thanks for all the help!!

Schmaltzy,
I've recently been thinking about picking up a skid lid original myself, but since I seem to be between sizes I don't know if i'll get a good fit either. Let me know what you decide to go with and how it works out for you.
