VTX-1300-S Battery Recommendations needed....

My 2004 VTX-1300 battery needs recharging if week goes by and bike not started. Not sure if it's the hot, hot weather of Eastern Wa. or charging system, but think it's battery...any suggestions? What is best replacement battery brand...?

Dayrider, depending on when this started, if recently, may have a bad cell in battery, I use a trickle charger if I dont ride mine for a long period of time...I would suggest taking it (battery) to your honda dealer and have them check it out, if ok then I would suggest it might be the regulator.

Double check your connections and ground wires. I recently had a problem w/ mine. thought my battery was going bad. Turned out to be a loose battery connection. 2 minuite fix. If it's not that, see above. Take care. Greg....

Solution on battery problem was after following all suggestion without luck; it just would not turn over the engine, was to have it checked by my Honda dealer. He discovered it had developed a bad cell....Best part he provided a new battery at no charge. These Honda dealers really aim to please....
