I got rear-ended in sc this past saturday, on my 1800R and it looks like they are going to total it... So unless you guys have some ideas I guess I'm looking for another 1800 I think I want an N model this time...:(
I'm a little worse for the wear but fine...

If I had that much money to blow on a bike, as much as I love the 1800s, I'd probably hit up a M109R. *splooge*
God, those bikes are sweet.
Then, as a second choice, the 1800F does it for me. The N just looks weird.

Glad to hear you're ok Chuck, sorry to hear about your ride. I like the 1800 N as well; if I was in the market for an 1800, that's the model I'd choose. If you can swing it, get that sissybar as part of the deal. The Neo-Retro backrest has to be one of the best looking sissybars/backrests out there IMO.
Good luck!

Chuck, so sorry to hear about the bike. Glad you are not too bad off, other than probably being a little hot under the collar. Sounds like you got lucky. I too like the N. If I was doing it over again I think I would move up to an 1800 and get the N. Happy shopping and I hope the insurance check comes in soon. Take care of yourself.

No way! How can all of you guys like the N? It's hideous. We should have a poll in another thread, which style is the best.
Anyway, I want to see pictures of the wreckage the bike is in, for it to be totalled.

I like the M109R too but I think I would have to go with the VTX1800, especially if you have a rider. Cruiser or V-Twin did an article a few months ago comparing VTX1300, M109R, Roadliner and the big Vulcan 2000. Bottomline was how you road and what you liked. For long trips the VTX1800 was the best all around. I almost bought the Roadliner before the VTX1300 but I'm sold on liquid cooled engines. Glad your okay Chuck !!! Keep Riding.
Wow, I just found this thread. I am glad to hear your okay Chuck...Allen

I test drove M109P limited and they were going to let me have it for around twelve grand with eleven hunderd down. Then they told me I could sell mine on there lot for no charge. They lead me on like they were going to let me trade mine in after they told me that I was pissed!
That M109R limited is a fast bike only thing is they powered coated the wheels white. I thought that would be a nightmare to keep those clean.
