1800 F Rear Fender on an 02 1800R

Can anyone tell me if the 1800F rear fender will fit the 02 1800 R? I don't like the pointy look of my stock fender and Love the look of the the F series. I just wanted to see if I can make the Swap or not. No dealer has been able to tell me if this will bolt right up or not. :hmm2: :hmm2:

I know for fact that the bolt holes for the sissybars/backrest have a different spacing. I own an 05 F model and I purchased cobra backrest brackets that came off an 02 retro. The hole spacing was off by several inches. The same bolt holes that mount the backrest also mount the fender to the struts, so I know for a fact these fenders can't be intermixed unless you re-drill some holes.
