You can also have your dealer order them for you. I added Aeromach risers and decided to add some lenght to my cables. After adding the Honda windshield, the cables worked, but were a little tight. I added 3" to both the throttle and the clutch cables (should have ordered only 2" over) and had to have the dealer order them from Barnett directly. Barnet does not deal directly with the public.
HDL probably sells stock replacements that are the same size as originol. Their site has an 800 # and they might be able to order custom sizes for you. $$$$

The key for me is to have looks and comfort . . . otherwise you can't really "cruise".

Get yourself and Ultimate Seat then you will really know what true comfort is. The key for me is to have looks and comfort . . . otherwise you can't really "cruise".

Mine is a 2003 1800C. I bought it sight unseen based on the trusted advise of another X rider. I brought it home in September last year and have rolled over 13,000 miles on it since. My approach is back wards from almost eveybody else. I don't add stuff, I take stuff off. The result is posted below.
Front to back
1) Polished the front rim
2) Polished the front forks
3) Blacked out the fork protectors
4) Added the head light ewxtention
5) Blacked out the head light extention
6) Blacked out the head light bucket
7) Added the handle bar bag
8) Removed the front dorectionals
9) Mounted the front directionals to the handle bar bag
10) Blacked out the stock mirrors
11) Removed EVERY freakig decal or sticker there was..ALL OF THEM!
12) Removed the tank...
12a) Added a quick disconnect to the fuel line
12b) Fixed every known electrical issue in the VTXOA garge page. ALL OF THEM
12c) Desmoged. NO trouble with the fabled "veturi affect."
13) replaced the stock air filter with K&N
14) Replaced the ait box cover with HLD "X" cover.
15) Blacked out the plug covers.
16) Added Vance and HInes BIgShots
17) Lowered the seat 1" and recovered in leather
18) Added 11.5" progressive 412's
19) Blacked out the 412's
20) Polished the rear wheel
21) Polished the final drive hub (not shown)
22) Removed rear directionals
23) Added LED directionals to the licence plate holder (not shown)
24) Rode the hell out of it.
25) Added L&R forward controls (should have been # 14, LOL

Actually, I'm looking at a Saddlemen solo seat and touring pillion. It's supposed to be coming out next spring, in time for me to pull my bike out after an unpleasant Arkansas winter.

Find someone in your area that has an Ultimate seat. Once you do you won't give the Saddlemen a second thought. Arkansas cant be as cold as NJ in the winter I wouldn't think. I ride until it gets below 40 then I dress warm LOL

Bone stock....oh wait! even less than bone stock, I ditched the pillion for that smoooooooth rear fender look (as soon as the wife bought her V-star 1100, that is.)
To be truly different...I've changed nothing from 'showroom'. :)
