Greetings all,
I am so confused, I want to get new pipes but not sure which ones.
Cobra dragsters or vance & hines big shots.
Here is the catch the dealer (honda) says that if I change the pipes I wll always have a backfire or poping. I asked about the power commnader and he said no you will still get it.
He said if i get new pipes they would adjust something in the throttle body to help but I will still get the back fire pooping when downshifting or reving it up.
Any help with this would be great !!!!!!!!

AHHHHHH, Finally a question I can answer!!! You can most of the time get rid of the "popping" that occurs on decel by doing a PAIR valve removal. This is of course a de-smogging of your bike, so I am not sure that your local stealer would do this for you. It is relatively inexpensive, and easy to do yourselg. If you want I have a set of block off plates from Barons that I will sell you CHEAP. I think they are around $18 bucks form the site, I will let them go for 15 incl. shipping. They are brand new in the package. Just let me know. Here is a link to the PAIR valve removal instructions:

Let's see, I have drilled out my pipes and NO popping. I have been running HK 3" Bigs for a few hundred miles and no popping. I am in the process of changing pipes again to HK Sideburners. We will see. Also, I have not made any mods to my air cleaner. I say buy what you like and if it startes popping then fix it. It can be cured at a very low cost if it happens and you do the work yourself. BTW, I have not made any needle changes so far.
