Which looks better on the 1300r, the 14" or the 17"? There's only 3" between the two but I was afraid the 17" may look funky sticky up.

I think it's completely subjective. I have a 16" measured from the fender (13" from the seat) and it looks just right to me. I don't often have a passenger but when I do they tell me that it's very comfortable and secure feeling. I mostly use mine for my travel bag and as a strapping devise for carrying other items. Holds my helmet great too!! Still it's what works and is visually pleasing to each one.

I have the Cobra. It's been on my bike for 2 years and still looks great.

I have the Honda Deluxe. Works for me and the Ultimate seat pad fits good too.

I've got the Honda tall and it looks great. I rarely carry a passenger. I added mine to attach my T-bags to. It looks great with the luggage rack too.

I have the retro which is very short, from Honda Line, I had the dealer put it on when I bought it. I have had many compliments on it.

I've got the tall Neo-retro on mine. My wife has scoliosis and can't ride on the back without a backrest or she'll be in pain in less than 15 minutes. With the backrest on she can ride for hours pain free.

I've got a 05 retro, and have the cobra tall. Looks great and the wife loves it. I also use it for my T-bag and to strap other things when not riding 2 up. I really like the tall because I know that with out a rack it will keep the T-bag of the fender.

I Have The Short Retro Honda One And It Looks Great. The Only Thing About The Retro Honda Brand Is The Retro Mounting Bracket Isnt Compatable With Some Brands Of Saddle Bag Brackets. Its Hard But Try And Think Ahead Or You Will Buy Stuff Twice. I Speak From Experience, Hard Luck Experience!
