I just got home with my new toy, an 06 1300R and am having trouble locating accessories for it. The dealer did not have anything in stock so I thought I could order over the web. The problem I am having is no one lists parts/accessories for an 06 model. Does anyone know if a back rest, windshield, engine guard/highway pegs for an earlier model will fit an 06. Best I can tell they haven't changed but would like to find out for sure.

Yes like NC Hammer said check HDL... I mostly use HDL for my parts and I have used http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/ for others. HDL is right on for getting on the phone and getting the answer asap.. good luck and enjoy the ride

I agree, either of the above are great. I really like Xtreme Revolution, perfect service so far.

I am doing it a little differently. I have found a great motorcycle shop near my house that is hooked up direct with many mfg. and through master distributors on much of the rest. I find what I want on line and talk to them about it or they show it to me. He discounts and is close to the on line price. If its something I don't want to mess with they charge me a fair rate to install it. I like the personal eye to eye contact and if I have any problems they will stand behind their work. I like it.

I agree cruiser customizing that VTXR1 notes is a good site. Another good site is www.phatperformanceparts.com or jp cycle's website is usually pretty good too. Phat's website will beat jp's prices most of the time, but sometimes have a little more limited selection or back-ordering issues.
