One more question until I think of another. Im getting my 2005 1300C tomorrow and was wondering what kind of storage it has. Does it have storage under the seat or anything like that?

Not sure about the C but my S has no storage to speak of other than the factory took kit.. I needed bags badly to store my gear as the days warm up in the fall in spring as layers start to come off.. I also put a tool bag behind my shield to throw gloves in.

There is a tiny, and I mean TINY storage space behind the chromed well under your seat. It's almost totally filled with the small tool pouch. I was able to squeeze registration page in there, but it was a tight fit. And you have to pack the tools into the pouch carefully or it won't fit either.
Saddle bags, handlebar bag(s) or rack on back are a must if plan to store anything.
Personally, I like the looks of the bike better without saddle bags, so I purchased a small nylon 12 drink carry bag that I mount on the luggage rack when I need it.

You're correct Memphis Fats, I have a C model and the is NO storage on it....I barely got my registration card is the side cover compartment !!! But so storage does not stop me from getting on bike and riding...

No storage. I like most purchased saddle bags, and put the tool kit behind the windshield.

You are going to have to make your own storage and there are many ways to do it. From saddle bags, front storage bags on the handle bars, sissy bar bags, back packs..... Don't worry about it. If the bike you want does not have the storage you want; it soon will. Thats half the fun of it. Make the bike for you and what you want it to be.

no storage except for your tool pouch, I put the removable sissy bar on mine with t-bags. That way I can still go back to a base bike for short runs. works out great

Anyone know of a handlebar bag that fits the straight bars on the C?

Hey Toadman .... I've got a Honda touring bag #08L52-MEG-100 strapped to the risers on my 2005 1300c. Its accessable from the riders seat and is big enough to carry a couple sets of glasses, small camera, phone etc. As an aside... it also blocks the glare coming off the headlight casing

At first, I used a backpack from Marvin's ($2.00). I've since upgraded to Leatherlyke bags. They're removable, durable and roomy. I never wanted bags before, I prefer the sleek, bagless look, but the leatherlykes come off and leave only 2 aluminum bolts on each side.
