I thought all the F model owners wanting new seats would enjoy this comment from the man himself. This just goes to show that if you flood them with enough phone calls and emails requesting goods and services they'll meet the demand of the buying public. Especially when Corbin is offering a full line of products for the F model now.

Dear TheCrux,

We will be building tooling for the F model seat over this winter and have the seat ready for the spring. The C model seat can not be altered to fit the F.

Thanks

This is great news. I sent them an email early September and they replied that there was not enough interest shown at this time, but to check back with them in February. Obviously, the buying public pressure has given them incentive to meet our needs!!

Offering from a different perspective, I will begin work on the 1800F in my shop in 2 weeks. My ideas will be something a bit different from our current offering due to the unusual shape of the rear fender.

Hey Big Mike,

I checked out your site, looks like you're trying to improve on the Honda F seat. I think what most of us F riders are looking for something more comfy for our spouses as well for those longer rides.

VTX-F owners your wait is over, you can now order an Ultimate seat (http://www.ultimateseats.ca/), but they are only making it available in the midrider version and no rider backrest is available.

But wait there is still hope:icon_smil, because Russell Cycle Products says they can deliver a dual touring seat with backrest on all VTX models. And they look as good or better than the Ultimate brand of seats, but they are kind of pricey.

Check'em out, Russell Cycle Products at http://www.day-long.com/

If anyone has one of these Russell seats:hmm2:, please comment :icon_ravi about their quality and comfort for us.

I've been waiting since last June for Ultimate to get a seat for the "F" model. I've also looked at the Russell seats and they look pretty good. But I can't tell what style of passenger seat they use for the "F" model. Both Ultimate and Russell require you to send in the "F" model seat pan to be fitted with their seats.

I would really like to see what they will look like specifically before I decide which way to go. The ultimate decision will come from my "Boss" who has to ride on the passenger end. Either of these makes look really good for the Rider!

I too have been waiting since last June. After viewing the pic's on Ulitimate's site I am kind of disappointed in the look of the seat but mostly because they are not offering a riders back rest. I spoke with the folks at Russell and they stated that they can deliver on the rider back rest and they offer many options for the passengers , in fact after viewing their seat gallery on their web page my boss said that she wanted the day-long Russell with that wide passenger seat that matches the rider's. However they did say they can't guarantee that your rider back rest will be usable with a passenger if your stock seat pan is 29" or less, and guess what, the F model seat is exactly 29". But price is also and issue, my Russell is going to cost a little over $1100. Truth be known, if I had known that I was going to have so many problems finding compatible and affordable after market products for my F model I would have just bought a C or N model.

If any one out there has purchased one of these new ulitimate seats for their F model, please let us know if they are as comfortable as the seat models they produce for the C R N and S models. seeya...

I plan on ordering the Ultimate seats this next week. I'll be out of country for the next month, so I won't be able to put them on until I get back at the end of June. I'll be posting pictures and a review when I get enough time on the seats to get a good idea on whether I like them or not. I liked the idea of the Russell seats, but just can't bring myself to put another $400 - $500 bucks into it.

I've heard that seat is butt ugly but for comfort they are the best around. I love my big boy on my retro.

Yea, they are butt ugly. It looks like Ultimate spent about 30 minutes on the design. And say that without prejudice because I think that all the rest of their seats look great.

Personally, I think the Ultimate seats look OK. They sure look better than the stock seats.

I just got my new Ultimate Seats for my 1800 F. Man!!! What a difference. I've put about 200 miles on the seat and haven't had a sore butt yet!

My wife hasn't ridden the passenger seat yet, but I'm hoping to get her out today. I think she'll be even more happy with the change from the stock seat.

I also got a backrest pad, but had to send it back. They set the mounting holes for the wrong Hondaline sissybar. They were quick to fix the problem, and said they would get a new one out to me ASAP.

So far I've been real impressed with Ultimate Seats!
