Is the popping when you let off or accelerate?

Its Constant. Idling Along In Fourth Or Fith Gear At 40 Mph. Also On Dead Stop Taking Off. At High Speeds You Hear A Ticking Sound. I Conplained About The Ticking (before I Took My Stock Pipes Off)to My Dealer. He Said It Was Normal. When I Changed My Pipes, Its Aparent That Its Not Normal.

Could be(only guessing here) a stuck exhaust valve. Check your valve clearances is where I would start. Easily done at least. Sounds like detination, where the spark is delivered prior to or after the valves are in the proper postion. I only say this because it sounds like it is only happening while the motor is under load ie taking off from stand still or at speed.

Valves Is What I Suspect. What I'm Consernd About Is Warranty. My Bike Still Has Warranty. I've Changed My Pipes And I'm Afraid My Dealer Won't Look At It Like I Do. I Could Do The Check But I Think Honda Should Correct The Problem. What Do Yall Think?

Double check the crush gasket bolts.Could have come loose also allowing for the exhaust to blow by(popping) while the motor is under load. Just another thaught. Sure someone else will chime in. I am an aircraft/auto mechanic, only a far amount of bike knowledge.

Most likely a exhaust leak. YOu can check this with yoour hand. Run your hand around the flange and you will feel it blowing. Do this then the engine is cold so you don't burn yoour hand. You can also do this with a lit match and the leak will blow the flame.

Ok, now here is a way to try to fix it. This happens quit a bit so don't feel bad. Take the pipes loose at the bracket but don't take them off, just loose. Now, once the brackets and other mounts are loose, loosen the front pipe at the head. Reseat he pipe and then tighten evenly. What happens at times depending on the pipes is the hearder does not get seated correctly so when it tightens the flanges gets tight but the pipe is not in place against the gasket. Once you have the pipe retightened at teh head then tighten the mounts back up. Start teh pike and if the sound is tthe same then try again. Depending on the pipes you should be able to fix it this way.

I would agree with mscales, it sounds like a exhaust leak.
