I am changing the handlebars on my '03 VTX1800 S to slightly higher ones with about 3" more pullback. It looks as though the stock throttle cables will reach with no problem, and I can get a longer clutch cable without too much drama or $$$. I need to find a (reasonably priced) solution for the brake hoses, however. I have been told they run about $300 or so (YIKES). Mention was made about using a "pigtail" as an alternative. Any insight into this dilemma will be appreciated immensely!

Cheers, Jul

Have the 03 Retro S and put 4" Aeromach risers on. The cables just reach, but still strectch a bit. Planning on putting on the 6" Aeromachs this spring. Think I read that we can use Valk cables, but have to call the parts guys to make sure. If you find anything out as to cheaper or what type, let me know. Thanks. z

I just changed my risers to aeromach 6" and 50's style beach bars with 3" rise and 15" pullbacks on my 1800c. the brake lines was the main issue. I ordered only the lines I needed for now. I used stainless lines. I replaced the lowerline, the 6" cross over, and the one from the 6" line to the controls and it cost around $240. This also included the fittings, the clutch line, and throttle cables

From where did you purchase your new cables?
