:patriot: THESE COLORS DON'T RUN :patriot:
On March 14th, "These Colors Don't Run" caravan to make a stop in the Charlotte vicinity at Quaker Steak & Lube in Concord The schedule time is 6 PM - 7 PM from here they will depart for Raleigh.
If you dont know what this is, please read the following:
Starting on March 8th in California, a caravan will be departing for Washington, DC arriving on March 15th. As many of you know, cowards are planning a march on March 17th to try and demoralize our troops. Participants include Cindy Sheehan, Susan Sarandon and Hanoi Jane herself, Jane Fonda.
Moving America Forward is sponsoring the caravan departing California. They will make a wide sweep across the United States collecting flags. Flags of any kind are needed and appreciated. They can be new flags, old flags, hand drawn flags and flags of special meaning. On March 16th these flags will start being put up around the Vietnam Memorial, WWII Memorial, and the Korean War Memorial. Thousands of Veterans and civilians who support OUR SOLDIERS will be converging on OUR nations capital to protect these sacred memorials. In the past the cowards have defaced some of our national monuments. After the march, all the flags collected, and placed around our National Monuments will be taken down, packed and shipped to soldiers both in Iraq and Afghanistan to show OUR SOLDIERS the American people support THEM! Please remember, this is to show SUPPORT FOR OUR TROOPS AND TO PROTECT OUR NATIONAL WAR MEMORIALS!

I am enlisting everyone to please show up and show your support for OUR TROOPS! If you can bring a flag, great. It's not a requirement. Please put it on your calendar and make an effort to show up. You can come by motorcycle, car or however you can get there. We, and more important the TROOPS need your support. I will leave you with an excerpt from a letter I received from a soldier stationed in Iraq that I sponsor through www.soldiersangels.org (http://www.soldiersangels.org/)
I checked out the sites that you sent me. I can't believe that they want to desecrate the war memorials in that way.... I think I may have to spend a few days in DC while I am on leave... A heart felt thanks goes out to everyone in DC for defending our lineage and protecting our memorials. Don't they know they are desecrating everything our fathers and grandfathers shed blood for, and they are saying those men died in vain? I just don't understand how they can do that...
Well things here are pretty bad, we lost 9 last week. this week seems to be going better. We stay busy, miss meals, and get no sleep, Typical soldiering things. We continue to laugh, cry and play together. If we don't, I think we would fall apart. I am sorry to hear about your friends nephew. It always hits home when you know someone. Last week we lost 4 in one incident and 3 in another. The saddest part about it was the 4 were on Valentines Day, all were married, the other 3 had children and one of them died on his sons birthday... I hate to think what it will mean for that child, having to deal with that for the rest of his life... At least he was old enough to know his father was a hero, the CAPT had 3 children 2 yo, 4 yo, and 7 yo. So all will remember daddy in a great way, as it should be.
