Southeast Spring 2007 Ride - May 12th & 13th 2007

Ok people let's get our Southeast Spring 2007 Ride together!! PLEASE READ all of the information below and then make sure you clcik the roster link!!

UPDATE 4/23:

We will be meeting Saturday morning at 10am in Charlotte, NC for those coming from the north. We plan on departing right at 10am so be there a little early. We will meet at 4525 Statesville Rd (exit 39 on I-85). Coming from south bound I-85 go up the ramp and turn right, go just past the 2nd light and on the left you will see a greay and blue building, the sign out from will say MEDIC, just pull in there. We will then proceed to Gaffney SC and meet at Hwy 11 (still trying to figure a meeting place) and proceed from there.

For the people staying and riding the second day we will ride to Hendersonville NC and stay the night and then complete the ride Sunday. We have 5 rooms so far reserved at the Best Western Hendersonville.


Green Ghost, Retro Rich, NC Hammer, Dentkicker, and I meet Saturday and planned out a nice ride for May 5th 2007. So, here is the plan, the back-up plan, and the details. This ride will take place on Saturday May 5th and Sunday May 6th (for those who wish to stay the night). As a back-up we will have the rain-out weekend as the following weekend May 12th and 13th.

Day One: (Thanks to NC Hammer for Planning this route)

For everyone who is able to ride just one day and then return home here is the plan. Our route will be as show below, some will meet in Charlotte NC at 10am, then we will meet the remaining people in Gaffney SC, ride SC 11 to SC 130 and loop around to Caesars Head State Park and head our seperate ways after that ride.

Day two of the ride:

At the completion of day 1 the people riding for the second day will ride and stop in the Hendersonville NC area (still neeeding to confirm the exact area) and stay the night.

Sunday morning we will set out and ride to the Lake Lure and Chimney Rock area, tehn depart for the Blue Ridge Parkway, ride to the Boone NC area and seperate from their to our homes.

I figure if we leave about the time you all leave Chesnee that should put us in Cleveland about the same time, give or take a few minutes. Hi Interceptor...well from charlotte to winston salem is approx..80 miles...the first day ride is 170-180 miles itself...ending in hendersonville.. And then from Hendersonville back to winston-salem is another 168...I'd suggest spending the night Sat..and heading back in the morning on sunday...Well proobably only do part of the ride on Sunday ourselves...and head back..we have quite a ways to go too...But we will come in on Friday so we don't have to get up quite so early...lol..BB
