What exactly happened? And you're speaking of the boot on the end of the wire, correct? Might be able to put yours back together; it's not uncommon for them to "come apart" sometimes.

I bought my X in Nov 06 and this March I was going to change oil, filter and spark plugs (bike had 4600 miles now has 5100). What I found is that one of spark plugs is different that three others:hmm2:? Different means that has small thread insted of unthreaded end so this one spark cap is different than others - I don't know why previous owner did this change:hmm2: .
I have already new OEM spark plugs but now I need to fix this issue so I need to buy new cap (OEM costs 18$ plus tax) or aftermarket e.g. NGK for approx 10$ but I can't find it!! I did some reserch ebay etc and couldn't fiand it:mad: .
So my next steep is to buy at Advance Auto Parts new set of spark plug wires for my X and exchange all of them.

that's my story

Still can't figure out what the issue is. Are you talking about the plug or the wires?

Where are these numbers coming from? Stock plug is an NGK DCPR6E. You can get them online for a few dollars each.

If you just lost the metal tip off the end of the plug (I believe it threads on )...PM me your address and I'll drop one in the mail. I have some old plugs.

If the wire came seperated from the boot....just thread it back on. If the previous owner somehow put a different cap on the stock wire....I would get an oem one. You can find them here:

Or it would probably be quicker to get one at the dealer.
