If your in Lake Charles, La. you'll be out on the road before spring. In fact Wed. and Thurs. are going to be great days. Get out and ride!

The cold will not stop me from riding, but it will be nicer in the spring. We do get a lil cold snap every once in a while. Lost my backrest somewhere on the interstate :hmm2:

Happy riding!

Hi, I am a re entry bike rider, I learned 30 years ago how to ride on a 70cc Yamaha and gradually moved up to a H2 750 Kawasaki before a 25 year lay off. I started again last year on a Honda 750 Aero and then moved up to a 1300R VTX. Good luck on a first bike of 1300 or 1800. Lots of things to learn out there. I wonder how I would have done 30 years ago on a heavy cruiser.

Picked up my 1300 at the end of April. Pushing 14,000 miles. I put it down for a nap, not to bed. I'd have pulled it out this morning if it wasn't raining. Can you believe it got into the 50s in Minneapolis today? Winter Storm Warnings in Fargo but raining in the Cities. If we get anything over 40 and clear/dry roads, I'm at least running around town. My wife and I rode around the neighborhood last December. Leathers and Santa Hats!
Enjoy the ride.

I saw on CNN today that it was a blizzard in Fergus Falls. I guess you can get out the snowmobiles for awhile.

Welcome to the new/retread riders! Glad to have you join in.

(I got so excited about the snow in FF, I forgot to say "Welcome"!)

Welcome Roy,
I'm planning on doing an iron butt run this summer/fall.

Tells us more, where'd you go, etc. We like stories.

How much of a hassle was it getting witnesses, saving receipts, and keeping a log?

What did you get from IBA? Patches, pins, etc.?
