Thought I was the only one thinking of MORE light in the rear, until I searched another forum. Interest is there so I decided to post my message here as well.

I opted to wire mine as brake only. If someone behind me glances away, then I hit the brakes and then they look back, they may not notice the difference in light intensity but should notice another light on. Kind of like the third brake light on autos. Replaced OEM reflectors with some cheap led markers for now but plan on replacing with something brighter and nicer looking. Note: Tag light removed when I added lighted tag frame.

Don't know if you wear a helmet but... there is a wireless brake light made that sticks to the back of your helmet (or anywhere on your bike) and is activated by a module in your regular break light. I think it's about $100. Try a Google search..

Great looking 1800c. Looks a lot like mine when I have the windshield on!

Yeah I saw an ad for that once. I was hoping to see one in person and evaluate how well it functions and whether there is any interference from radios, cb's etc. Also wondering if it would be in the way and if could be moved easily from rider to passenger helmet when two up. Little pricey too.

Thanks for the compliment.

I just installed this turn signal conversion kit from Electrical Connection. Here is the info from their website.

Think of this - your rear turn signal housings are illuminated only when the turn signal is flashing. These are dead lights the rest of the time.

Our signal kits simply, easily and legally:
- make those dead housings additional red running & brake lights the rest of the time.
-TRIPLE the size of your rear running and brake lights without adding any additional housings.
- do not alter the operation or components of the stock turn signals.
- shut off the red light in the signal housings when the amber signal comes on.

Other kits make your signal lights into running lights and signals, but in amber:
- ILLEGAL on any motor vehicle and much more expensive than our kit plus.
- NO brake lights!

No dying or replacement of the lens is required either with our kit. Federal regulations require a motorcycle to have amber turn signals and this kit keeps you in compliance and safer.

Here's a pic:

It's a great product and looks VERY bright. HUGE difference especially at night.

One of the first mods I put on the bike was one that makes the turnsignals blink 3 times and then stay on when you apply the brakes. I have a Show Chrome light bar on order now. I want to be SEEN by the cagers.
