2006 VTX Calendar...interested?

So, who would be interested in putting together a 2006 calendar?

We can easily get 12 of our favorite VTX photos and publish a calendar, we need 12 high resolution photos. The calendars would cost $10 each plus shipping.

Nice Scoot!

No offense, but those really aren't quite calendar quality pics.. Don't get me wrong, they're nice and clear, and the bike looks great, but I think you need to change your shoot location...

RoadBike had a whole article on tips on photographing your bike a few months ago, it was a good article :

Try hopping on that thing and take it for a ride out somewhere where you can get it in front of "nothing".. With all the houses behind it, there's just too much for your eye to look at. Also, of the 3 pics, 2 of them (the bike only shots) aren't quite centered, with 1 just a little too close so that the tool roll doesn't quite make the shot. And the second, we see a lot more driveway on the bottom, than sky at the top the pic. Whoever took the pic of you sitting on your baby lucked out, in that the sun is behind you, but didn't make it to the camera because of that big tree.

You should always try and get the sun behind you if possible, and late day sun is typically "warmer" looking in a picture than say midday sun.

Nice submissions. If you have a large uncompress photo compress it and post it or email it to me nd I'll compress it for you. Looks like we will have enough interest so we can give this a go.

As far as a timeline we can do it whenever, the calendar can be started on any month, so if we start it in Feb it will end in Feb 2007.

In the mean time, if you want a better photo of you bike work on that, in a week or two we can start a poll and have members vote. The top 12 vote getters will be placed on the calendar.

Sounds like a plan to me. I hope to have mine back together with all the braided lines on it sometime this week and then I can get some HQ pictures made of her.

I'm adding some bling on mine over the Christmas Holiday and will submit some newer photos of mine if it's not too late. Probably have them in before the first of the year, I'll take them with the new camera I bought for the Mrs. for Christmas. I've got a couple of pics posted on the main gallery, but want to get some on there that don't have pictures of the darn minivan in it :) .
