I want to buy a new GPS for my bike, really like the feature of having a MP3 player and maybe the XM radio down the road...not sure that is an issue.

The TomTom: http://www.tomtom.com/products/product.php?ID=207&Category=1&Lid=4

Looking at the TomTom it has some cool features and includes the Bluetooth headset included, has a night screen (I can't see that the zumo has that), has a hood to help with glare and I can get one on Ebay for less than $500

The Garmin zumo 550: https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=135&pID=414

This has MP3, XM radio (with subscription), a screen with a speedo and a gas gauge. I'm wondering if it has a night screen and how it does in the bright sun. I can get one on Ebay for $700

Anyone know about these models or have a suggestion on a different model?

I have a Mio C310x you can get it at Frys.com or circuit city, or Ebay where I bought mine. Comes with an SD slot and doubles as an MP3 player. I paid $187 several months ago.

The two top rated are ones you are already looking at, TomTom and Zumo. Specifically made with the MCst in mind. I have been mulling this same question for some time, I like the idea that the TT comes with a bluetooth headset and is less expensive. Let me know what you ultimately decide and how this has enhanced the riding experience. SB how do you like the unit you are using, is it direct wired, have a battery backup, bluetooth? More details!!!

I bought the Zumo last night and should be here tomorrow. Did alot of reading and decided on the 550, the TomTom seems to have a slightly faster stystem (reconfig a route after you pass a road) than the zumo and it includes the earpiece (although I have read it's a piece of crap) I liked the featured of the zumo more and trust the garmin name so I found it for $693 on Ebay and only $19 for overnight shipping.
