Just a little info for anyone that might be interested in putting accent lights on their VTX.
I bought 2 sets, 1 from Kuryakyn and 1 set from Boogey Lights.
Boogey offers flexible LED strips, LED step & courtesy lights, or neon spark plug wire kits. Website www.boogey.com
I purchased the Super Engine Kit w/ remote. Comes with 8 pads of LED's and a remote switch for $142 awesome kit easy to install everything. One benefit to this kit is that the wiring is able to be modified to your desired length. They give you plenty of length on each LED so you can get just the right position.
I also got the Neon plug wire kit $150. Pretty easy to install, kinda tough to get to the coil on the 05 1300R not sure if all others are in the same place.
When I received them 1 of the Neon tubes was cracked and they replacedit in a couple days. All it took was a phone call and a couple e-mails to do the coordination for shipment. Company is really good to their customers.
The other kit I used was the Kuryakyn Spider Light Starter Kit, $116, that I purchased from Xtremerevolution.com. This kit is extremely easy to install, everything is pretty much plug and play. The thing about this kit that I didn't like is that you really couldn't modify the length of the wiring unless you wanted to cut and either solder the wiring or tape it up. Personally I want a real clean look so I just ziptied the extra length and hid the extra wiring.
All in all for ease of installation I would get the Kuryakyn set. If you are looking for more bang for the buck, a cleaner look, ability to place these LED's where you want without major alterations of wiring and just more lights in general. Go with the Boogey Lights. Plus if you get the remote switch as well for the additional $25 more than the Kuryakyn all your friends will think it is awesome to be able to turn them on/off from up to 100ft away.
I will be posting some pictures of my bike with the lights on in a couple days. Need to borrow a friends digital camera and get some pictures taken. Spent all my extra money on my VTX, can't afford my own camera yet. LOL
