I was in the process of upgrading the handlebar switch housing with :harder: show chrome parts, washed the bike and replaced the headlight. No more headlight, replaced with original headlight still no worky. Chacked the handlebar housing to look at high low beam switch and it LOOKS ok. I don't have a clue. Please point me in the right direction.

Check the fuses.
Disconnect the battery and run a multimeter check of the switch.
Hook the battery back up and check for 12 volts to the switch with it open or off, and check for voltage after the switch with it on.
If you have the service manual it's much easier to find the headlight circuit.

Found the problem in the high low switch, must have pushed too hard to get it to seat. If I squeeze the switch I can get it to work, unfortunately I can't do that when placed in housing.

Has anyone has ever replaced this switch and if there is a place you can order the switch only!

Check and make sure you are getting a good ground at the switch. Also, you can do a direct jump from in front of the switch to teh headlight leaving out the switch. If there is still a problem then you have a bad fuse or some other problem. If you get the light to work by jumping the switch then jump from the other side of the switch directly to the headlight. THis will let you know if the problem is the wiring between the switch and the bulb. You can always put the stock switch back in place.

The problem is that I must have damaged the stock switch and to make matters worse you have to buy the whole assembly to get the switch.:harder:

Sorry to hear that.
The parts look delicate so as the assembly takes place, double check all is free as you tighten in down and nothing is pinched.
