I dont understand this at all maybe you can help? I rode my bike all last week to work an back and everything was perfect. I go to leave for work today..I put in the key, turned it..waited for the fuel pump noise to stop..went to start the bike an I got a "buuuchuuuck" and now there is nothing. No headlight when I turn the key on..nothing. My battery is only 5 months old and I checked my fuses and they dont look bad? Anyone have any ideas???:choppersm

Check for a loose or corroded connection at the battery terminals. Take out the associated fuse and examine to see if open, if you are not sure of what you are looking for put a VM on the fuse.

Check the fuses with a OHM Meter. Fuses or the battery cables is the only reason for the headlight not working along with the no start issue. GG :D

+1 GG. Even if the fuses don't look bad, sometimes they can have a "blowout" over to the side that is hard to see. Change out the main ones you need to on the circuits that would cause it, just as part of the "process of elimination."

The battery terminals were the culprit..Once I cleaned them she started right up! Thanks to all
