Help Finding Wire

I am trying to mount a KURY battery gauge on a mount on the handlebars. I need to find a hot wire that is ONLY ON when the ignition key is ON. I will need to ground the ground wire also. Is there a wire within easy access to strip and solder into? The length of wire on the gauge is 21 inches. Need to find that wire !

On the retro and s models there is a accessory plug in the headlight. Pull out the front and pull the wires out so you can see it. Since it is a large lpug you might want to splice it in the exsisting wire. hope this helps
