Hello, My name is Don. I live in Charlotte close to Mt Holly. I am happy to have found a site for VTX riders. I have two VTX's. I had a VTX1300 and traded it five months later for a VTX1800. I look forward to meeting with local VTX riders. I have looked at a lot of bikes but I think this is the best. :icon_peac

welcome to the site. What are you pro and cons of the two

I found that the 1300 had more lunge on and off the throtle at low speeds but I still like the 1300. I just wanted a bigger bike. 1800 has lots of power but its a heavy bike and a little to much play in the throtle. I will have to have that adjusted.

Any other quirks between the two that aided your decision? Any additional information you can give me would help me in my decision. I would rather only buy one.

No, no other quirks that I noticed. The 1800 has the power to start off in 2nd gear with no problem at all. I bought my 1800 new in 2005 for a very, very good price. That and the color were also, reasons I traded the 1300 so quickly. I went to buy cleaning spray and bought the 1800 instead. I'll have the 1800 for a while. Currently saving up money to do mods., and custom work.
